The Cup Returns to Europe!!

The 2013 campaign took place on a glorious early September day and the Euros took full advantage of the conditions to wrest the Cup away from the Americans after 3 years - they had started to forget what it looked like having only seen it one day a year since 2010.

The two big difference makers for the Euros this year were the play of their rookies and the fact that they managed to break even in the singles matches - which is essentially a win given their track record in singles in prior years.

A first in Ryder Cup history as the Rookie of the Year is also the MVP as Kurt Eisenschmid delivers an impressive 3-0-1 record in his rookie campaign.  Joe Greene had his usually solid performance for the Euros going 3-1-0, but was denied the rare 4-0 score by some incredible putting by Jim Bartow down the stretch in the singles match.

The American team was led by the Reimel brothers who directly accounted for 6 1/2 of the American's 9 points.  Jeff matched Kurt's play with a 3-0-1 record in his matches for the day, while Jon finished 3-1-0.  Other notable wins for the American's include Kim Hartung running his lifetime singles record to 6-0.
