Europe completes the Three-peat!

Another picture perfect day at DCC for the 2015 Ryder Cup campaign and there was no better way to start the procedings than with some early morning bag pipes to welcome the teams on the anniversary of 9/11.  The Euros got out of the gate quickly and never really looked back this year.  While the US did outscore the Euros in the single's matches, the Euro 4-0 sweep in the better ball of partners matches gave them a lead that was too large to overcome.  The American's are now 1-7 in better ball matches over the last 2 years.

The Euros were lead by Bob Schumaker, who (if he hasn't mentioned it this week) went 4-0 for the day; the SECOND time he has achieved this rare feat.  Other key Euro players were Rick James (3-1) and newcommer Greg Ventresca who also went 3-1 - a strong showing for a rookie.

American notables include Brian Trymbiski who went 3-1 and Dave Shields who returned after a multi-year absence to score 2 1/2 points.

The Europeans now have the opportunity to complete the never achieved four-peat in Ryder Cup history heading into the 2016 event.
