The Doylestown Ryder Cup at DCC

2018 Results

The 2018 Ryder Cup event will go down in history as the biggest comeback ever seen in Ryder Cup history. The Europeans entered the singles matches with a seemingly insurmountable lead of 7 1/2 to 4 1/2 and needed only 3 points to win their 6 consecutive cup, but the scrappy Americans rallied to take 6 of the 8 available points in the singles format to FINALLY break their losing streak.

The tide turned on 2 of the later matches in the afternoon when Paul Edgerton was able to win the 18th hole for a 1/2 point against Russ Hartung and on the last match when Neumann was able to win 17 and 18 to earn the decisive 1/2 point that won the event for the Americans 10 1/2 - 9 1/2.

MVP honors go to Kim Hartung with 3 1/2 points including (not surprisingly) another singles win.
